FetchPins

Why Can't I Download a Pinterest Video?

If a pin won't download, the link type or pin status is usually the cause—not your phone or browser. Use the checks below, then try the tool again.

Short overview — a longer version is coming. Enough to get started with FetchPins.

Quick checks

Open the pin in Pinterest first. If it is gone, private, or behind a login, FetchPins cannot fetch it—we never ask for your Pinterest password.

  1. Use a single pin link (pinterest.com/pin/… or pin.it/…), not a board or profile URL.
  2. Confirm the pin is still public and loads in a normal browser tab.
  3. Try copying the link again from Share → Copy link in the Pinterest app.
  4. Carousel pins, secret boards, and some region-blocked media may fail.

Try the matching tool

Videos go to the video downloader. Still photos use the image page. Animated pins use the GIF tool. Audio-only saves use Pinterest to MP3.
