How to Download Pinterest Videos on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac
Copy the pin link, paste it into the Pinterest Video Downloader, and save the MP4. Same flow on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android.
Free. No login. No watermark. No app needed.
Steps
Download by device
Pick your device. The link you paste is the same everywhere — Share → Copy link, or the address bar on desktop.
Windows / PC
- Open the pin in your browser and copy the address (or Share → Copy link).
- Open the Pinterest Video Downloader in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
- Paste the link and press Download.
- Pick a quality the pin has (usually 720p, sometimes 1080p) and save the MP4.
No Windows installer — the site itself is the downloader.
Mac
- Copy the pin URL from Safari or Chrome.
- Paste it into FetchPins and press Download.
- Open the MP4 from Downloads in QuickTime, or drag it into Photos.
iPhone
- In the Pinterest app: Share → Copy link.
- Open FetchPins in Safari, paste the link, tap Download.
- Open the file from Downloads / Files → Share → Save Video.
That last Share step is what puts the video in Photos.
Android
- Copy the pin link (Share → Copy link).
- Open FetchPins in Chrome, paste, tap Download.
- Open the MP4 from Downloads or Gallery.
Save to gallery / camera roll
iPhone
Download alone isn’t enough for Photos. Open the file from Safari’s Downloads or Files, tap Share, then Save Video.
Android
Files usually show up in Gallery once they’re in Downloads. If Gallery lags, open Files → Downloads and play the MP4 there.
App vs web
You don’t need a Pinterest video downloader app. This page runs in Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox — no install, no store permissions, no account. App stores own “install” searches; we don’t try to compete there. Paste the link online and save the file.
Idea Pins (Story Pins are retired)
People still search for a Pinterest story downloader. Story Pins as a product are retired; that content now lives as Idea Pins. If a public Idea Pin has downloadable media, paste the pin link the same way as any other public pin. Private Idea Pins and anything that needs a login can’t be fetched — FetchPins never asks for a password.
Pinterest Save vs download
Saving on Pinterest only bookmarks the pin. A download is a file on your device. Same idea on the homepage: Pinterest Save is not a download.
No sound or won’t download
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No sound | Pin has no audio track | Check the pin on Pinterest; silent there stays silent |
| Private pin | Needs a login | Only public pins work; we never ask for a password |
| Deleted pin | Media is gone | Nothing to download |
| Link not recognized | Not a pin URL | Open the pin and copy Share → Copy link (pin.it works too) |
| Board link | Boards not supported yet | Paste one pin link at a time |
| Too many requests | Rate limit | Wait a minute and try again |
More detail: why a Pinterest pin won’t download.
Do I need a Pinterest account?
No. Public pins only. The tool never asks for a password.
Will the video have sound?
Yes, when the pin has an audio track. Silent pins stay silent.
What quality will I get?
Usually 720p, which is HD. Real 4K is not available from Pinterest. We never upscale.
Do pin.it links work?
Yes. Paste pin.it short links in the same box. See the Pinterest Link Downloader.
Can I download a whole board?
Not in this version. Paste one pin link at a time. See how to download a Pinterest board.
Where else can I convert to MP4 or save audio?
Save video as MP4 on the Pinterest video downloader. For audio only, use Pinterest to MP3.
Ready to download a Pinterest video?
Paste a public pin link and save the MP4 with sound.
